Week 19: Nicaragua
Our Nicaraguan coffee is a medium roast that is delectably creamy, with milk chocolate and toasted almond notes. Cultivated under shade trees, it is harvested and cared for by coffee farming families. Like all certified organic farms, they are banned from using synthetic pesticides. For these farmers, a union protected Cooperative named UCASUMAN, makes sure that their 400 members are well trained and their families and community benefit from the reinvested Fair Trade premium.
This delicious brew can be paired nicely with just about any food. It is most definitely a favorite with desserts, but is just as delectable on its own. Because it is a crowd favorite and one of our best sellers, I always have to make sure I grab one before we run out!
