Organic Farming Helps With Erosion:
Not only does organic farming help the environment by providing a healthy soil, but it helps combat serious soil and land issues, such as erosion. A major study comparing adjoining organic and chemically treated wheat fields, showed that the organic field featured eight more inches of topsoil than the chemically treated field. It also had only one-third the erosion loss. We all worry about issues affecting the land, food supply, and humans. By planting trees and shrubs the farmers can block damaging strong winds and help protect against full sun and flooding rains. Organic farming practices do help discourage erosion from occurring and we are so thankful for that.
