Simple Homemade Almond Milk
Just wanted to share a recipe with you that I have been enjoying lately. I think you will love this alternative milk made from whole almonds. It’s simple, rich tasting and delicious. I have been drinking this with the Kindleaf Chocolate Chai and it’s awesome. I haven’t tried it steamed but I don’t think it will work as well as the commercial varieties. It’s a tasty option though. If you try it, let me know in the comments below.
All by volume:
4 Cups Filtered Water
1 Cup Whole Blanched Almonds (skin on is ok too, just more fiber and color)
1 Tbsp. Honey
.5 Tsp. Kosher or Sea Salt
Directions:
Gather all the ingredients and load them into a high-quality, high-speed blender. Begin with a low speed setting, slowly escalating to a high speed and let it blend for one whole minute. Once complete, strain the mixture using a fine mesh strainer.
*Pro-tip to ensure an ultra-smooth texture – let it strain naturally instead of pushing it through with a utensil.
Keep it cool in the fridge and enjoy your fresh almond milk! Use within a few days. Enjoy!
