As the weather starts to warm up and the flowers begin to bloom, we are excited to release one of our favorite spring time drinks: the Lavender & Wild Flower Honey latte. But have you ever wondered what goes into creating this Tend Coffee classic? In this edition of our Behind the Bean series, we’re taking a closer look at the inspiration behind one of our favorite combos.
The Lavender & Wild Flower Honey Latte was inspired by our time in the artisan chocolate world. We loved the combination of floral and sweet flavors and wanted to translate that into a latte. After some experimenting with different ingredients, we landed on freshly steeped lavender syrup, certified organic coffee, and wildflower honey. The result is a drink that perfectly captures the essence of springtime.
The process of steeping the flowers in the hot syrup allows the delicate floral notes to infuse the liquid, which we then use as a base for the latte. It’s the perfect way to add a hint of sweetness and aroma to the drink.
To create the latte itself, we use our certified organic Pull Espresso blend. The blend is made up of a variety of Central American beans, which gives it a unique depth of flavor. We carefully extract the espresso shots, and then add in the lavender honey syrup and steamed milk.
